?The world’s best CS:GO team, FaZe Clan, will clash with the 217th-ranked team in the world, Evil Geniuses, in the first game of day three action of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups.

It is easy to back up the claim that FaZe are the best team on the professional CS:GO scene, considering they have won IEM Katowice, ESL Pro League Season 15, PGL Major Antwerp and IEM Cologne so far in 2022. Most teams would dream of just winning one of the PGL Major, IEM Katowice or IEM Cologne; FaZe have won all of them in a matter of six months.

It is no shock that FaZe will come into this event as the favourites after all of their success this year. Only NaVi have come close to FaZe in a three- or five-game series, so considering that their opponent this series is the 217th-ranked team in the world, they shouldn’t have much trouble getting through the opening round here.

Evil Geniuses will be playing in their first competitive event since the North America BLAST Premier Spring Showdown in April of this year. Since that event, Evil Geniuses have made two changes to their roster, adding Jadan “HexT” Postma and Sanzhar “neaLaN” Iskhakov, while they have parted ways with Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and William “RUSH” Wierzba. Another issue for Evil Geniuses is that whilst they have been inactive their ranking has dropped from 35 in the world to the lowest it has ever been ranked since the team entered the CS:GO scene.

FaZe and Evil Geniuses are two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to their ranking and level of talent on their rosters. We will be taking FaZe at the rounds handicap of -6.5 at -120.48 with BetOnline.

Heroic and BIG will be the second opening-round matchup of Group C, with two teams from the top 15 in the world setting up a cracking best-of-one clash.

Heroic are currently the 14th-ranked team in the world, with their position dropping over the last three months from when they were ranked no.4. Although Heroic won the 2022 Pinnacle Cup Championship in June this year, they haven’t set the world on fire at an S-Tier event. The last few S-Tier events include the ESL Pro League Season 15, PGL Major Antwerp and IEM Cologne, with a best finish of fifth-eighth at the PGL Major Antwerp. Even though Heroic’s ranking has dropped, they are still a big threat to anyone at this event, as everyone knows they have the talent to win.

BIG are now the 13th-ranked team in the world, after a run of really good performances before the mid-season break. Their best finishes came at IEM Dallas, where they finished in third-fourth place, and the 2022 Roobet Cup, where they beat FaZe Clan – the no.1 team in the world. Given that BIG have been performing really well and they have beaten FaZe recently, they could be a smokey to take out Group C if they get past Heroic here.

There is very little between Heroic and BIG in the betting with most online bookmakers, and we should see a cracking match. BIG have been in great form recently and they look to be on rise, so we will be taking them at the moneyline.

BIG to win
